Norfolk estate expands and extends its season for luxury glamping escapes at Wild Meadow

For those seeking a peaceful countryside escape with family and friends, Wild Meadow Glamping at Raynham Estate in Norfolk offers a unique getaway experience. Nestled within the grounds of one of the East of England’s most beautiful stately homes, Wild Meadow has expanded its offerings to provide an unforgettable glamping retreat.
After a successful first full season in 2021, Raynham Estate now features eight hand-crafted yurts, double the number from last year, accommodating up to 37 guests. Each yurt is generously spaced at least 10 meters apart, surrounded by a five-acre meadow of wildflowers, creating a private and relaxing rural hideaway. The exclusive site is perfect for those looking to avoid busy resorts and enjoy the beauty of nature in Norfolk.
Lord Tom Raynham, who manages the estate, explains the attraction of Wild Meadow: “Our setting, with wide skies and rolling parklands, is a place where guests can relax, stargaze, and enjoy breathtaking sunsets. There’s no need to go abroad when you can experience this peaceful and secluded location right here in Norfolk.”
Luxury Yurts with Modern Comfort
Each yurt offers super-king beds, luxury bedding, a wood-burning stove, and cozy blankets. Guests can enjoy the outdoors with individual BBQs and seating areas, and each yurt has its own designated toilet and shower. With mains electricity, visitors can charge devices and stay connected—or choose to unplug and fully disconnect.
For group meals, the Turnip Tent dining area offers shared cooking facilities, named in honor of the estate’s farming heritage. Guests can enjoy pre-ordered estate-reared Raynham Aberdeen Angus beef or locally sourced hampers with craft beer and wine.
Expanding Accessibility and Group Bookings
In 2022, the glamping site has expanded, adding four more yurts, including two with en-suite bathrooms and wider doors for easier wheelchair access. Wild Meadow can now accommodate larger groups of up to 40 guests, making it perfect for special celebrations, family reunions, or group holidays with friends.
For those who prefer a traditional cottage, Arthur’s Cottage is available for stays from May 2022. Located at the bottom of Raynham Hall’s drive, this cosy rural hideaway features exposed beams, a super king-size bed, a wood-burning stove, and beautiful views of the estate. The cottage sleeps two, is dog-friendly, and provides an ideal countryside retreat.

Guests can explore Norfolk’s stunning coast, just a 20-minute drive from Wild Meadow.
